Phuket is an island of freedom, where every turn reveals new horizons. And the most convenient way to explore all its treasures is motorbike rental. Traveling with your own transport gives you complete independence: no time restrictions, no tourist routes, just you and the road ahead.
The bike rental process in Phuket is as simplified as possible. To complete the contract, you only need a foreign passport with a valid visa or entry stamp to Thailand. Important detail: the original document remains with you — a copy made right during registration is sufficient.
Officially, an International Driving Permit category A or A1 is required to operate a motorbike in Thailand. Absence of a license can result in a fine of 1000 baht, so it's better to take care of this in advance. The minimum age for rental is 18 years, regardless of having a driving license.
Deposit
When arranging rental, a deposit of 3000 to 10000 baht is required depending on the bike model. Basic scooters require minimal deposit, while powerful models require correspondingly more. Conveniently, the deposit can be paid in any currency in cash — the amount will be recalculated at the current exchange rate. After returning the bike in proper condition, the deposit is returned in full.
Payment methods
Payment is made in full according to the chosen rental period.
Three payment options are available:
Rental cost varies depending on model and duration. The most popular options:
Honda Scoopy 110cc 2023 — from 350 baht per day or just 3000 baht for three months
Honda Click 125cc 2025 — from 370 baht per day
Honda PCX 160cc 2024 ABS — from 600 baht per day
Honda FORZA 350cc 2025 — from 1500 baht per day
Long-term rental is significantly more profitable: monthly rentals start from 115 baht per day. This makes bikes affordable even on a limited budget.
Each bike undergoes thorough technical inspection before handover and is delivered with a full tank of 95-octane gasoline. All motorcycles are in excellent technical condition — the company only works with new bikes, which guarantees reliability and safety.
The kit includes up to three helmets free of charge, including children's helmets when needed. All helmets undergo antiseptic treatment after each use.
When receiving the bike
After signing the contract and making all payments, be sure to photograph or video record the received motorbike. This documents the condition of the equipment and helps avoid disputes during return.
When returning
The bike must be returned in the same condition as received: clean, undamaged and with a full tank. After inspection, the deposit is returned immediately.
Renter's responsibility
By signing the contract, you accept full financial responsibility for the bike and all accessories. This applies to cases of loss, damage or breakdown, except for technical malfunctions due to manufacturer fault.
Special cases of responsibility
Battery discharge due to renter's negligence (forgotten ignition, lights) — your responsibility. In such cases, you can contact the nearest motorcycle service or motorcycle taxi drivers, services are paid for independently.
It is strictly forbidden to cross water obstacles deeper than 30 centimeters. Water entering the engine can lead to serious breakdowns, repairs for which are paid by the renter.
All fines for traffic violations are paid by the renter. In case of an accident, it is necessary to:
Basic insurance with coverage up to 50000 baht when visiting a hospital in case of an accident is included in the rental cost.
The minimum rental period is one day. You can choose pickup from the office or delivery to any point in Phuket. Delivery cost depends on location distance.
Bike rental in Phuket is not just a means of transportation, it's the key to the real island. Wind in your face, freedom to choose your route and the opportunity to discover corners that tourist buses won't reach. Properly arranged rental will ensure you a comfortable and safe journey through one of Thailand's most beautiful islands.
